Our services Create Value
Interior Design – Interior design involves an array of disciplines from the technical to the artistic, from architectural drawings to color and textile selections. At Claudia Giselle Design LLC, we are multidisciplinary and equally versed in the art and the science of interior design. A design package from us may include: space-planning and drawings (floor-plans, elevations and details); hand sketches and computer renderings; FF&E and accessory specifications; plumbing fixture specifications; custom furniture and millwork design drawings; window treatment solutions; lighting selections and custom lighting design....
Project Coordination – No matter the size of the production, every orchestra needs a conductor; and experience has taught us that project leadership must be hierarchical to be effective and for the project to be well-organized. Because we have a vested interest in seeing a project succeed beautifully and our clients happy, we are fully engaged in the construction process as project coordinators. Acting on our clients' behalf, we facilitate bidding and negotiations, hire and schedule the trades, convene with architects, engineers, code consultants, purchasing agents, developers, real estate brokers, facility managers, etc., and oversee construction and the thousands of details, so that the design intent is executed faithfully, the time-frame is respected and the budget is honored.
Purchasing – At Claudia Giselle Design LLC, we do the purchasing of products and services required for the successful execution of a new construction or renovation project. That entails correspondence with vendors, generating quote requests, handling of estimates, getting client approvals, generating purchase orders and handling payments, approving items prior to shipment, scheduling and tracking shipments, arranging receipt of products and materials, and quality assurance upon delivery.
Accessories & Art Sourcing – We will accessorize your entire project with all the items that create a completed space, including artwork selection and valuation, as well as navigating primary and secondary markets.
Furniture & Cabinetry Design – Sometimes the particularities of a space require a custom solution. The perfect piece of furniture or built-in cabinet can indeed complete a space. We design and work with talented artisans, fabricators and cabinet makers that use high-quality materials to build your piece to exact specifications.
Consulting – We lend our expertise to developers, architects, and designers.
Our PRocess Is Systematic
We approach each project first and foremost through a recognition that our clients' are taking a step towards making a difference in their lives or businesses by hiring us. Regardless of the scale or scope of a project, there's a great importance to working systematically. Our process comprises the following sequence:
- Initial Consultation – we listen and learn about our clients' needs and desires
- Inventory Our Clients' Belongings – we advise on retaining the essentials and discarding the superfluous
- Schematic Design – conceptual and space planning including floor plans, computer and/or hand renderings, the selection of furnishings, finishes and accessories as needed to express the vision for clients' approval
- Design Development – detailed drawings and specifications package which is actionable by vendors and trades and fundamental to a project's execution
- Purchasing – ordering of furnishings, finishes and accessories required to produce a turnkey product or simply execute the scope of work
- Project Coordination – bidding, scheduling, liaising with vendors, trades and service providers, code consultants, architects, and all the human resources involved in bringing a new construction or a renovation project to completion on time and on budget
On each and every project, we serve as our clients' representative and fiduciary, always advocating on their behalf.

Design Industry Leadership
From 2009-2015 Claudia served on the Board of Directors for the New York Chapter of The International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA), a not-for-profit professional association; and in 2012 Claudia was elected New York Chapter President. As the Chapter's youngest ever President in IFDA's then 65 year history, Claudia's tenure brought renewed vigor, infectious enthusiasm and a technological upgrade to the New York Chapter by establishing its current digital and social media communication channels; by ushering in a new crop of membership and a restructuring of the Board of Directors; by spearheading The Brainstorm Brunch, which was the fountainhead for some of the Chapter's premier membership events such as its C3 (Cocktails, Conversations and Connections); and by setting the stage for a renowned Circle of Excellence Awards 2012 chaired by the inimitable Su Hilty with Simon Doonan and Jonathon Adler as the masters of ceremony and which honored a coterie of the furnishings and design industry's best and brightest. From 2013-2015 Claudia also served on the Board of Directors for the IFDA International Board. Claudia is currently a member of the Design Leadership Network (DLN), which is an association of leading professionals in the design industry.
Claudia comes from a lineage of builders and developers in the Dominican Republic. After receiving a double Bachelor's Degree with honors in Advertising and Communications from Syracuse University, Claudia realized her true passion lay in her roots and she determined that interior design and construction would be her life's work. In 2002 she began her studies in Interior Design at New York Institute of Technology and then at New York School of Interior Design, from which she earned her degree in Interior Design with distinction-- all while working full-time in hospitality design. Always aspiring for higher degrees of excellence, Claudia moved up the Manhattan echelon of architecture and design firms, where she garnered an array of experience from high-rise residential, to commercial, to restaurant design for an international clientele. In 2008 Claudia was tapped by a former professor from New York School of Interior Design to formalize the interior design division of the architectural firm where he served as Associate Principal. Shortly thereafter however, the housing market collapse brought building development to a halt, and contracts were lost or placed on hold, and Claudia's new position was dissolved.
A new chapter began in 2009 when Claudia participated, and was awarded first place, in a Lobby Design Competition for a prewar residential building on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. There she was introduced to former assistant Dean of Parsons School of Design and author of numerous books on color, Linda Holtzschue. Claudia worked under Linda for a number of years, where she gained a working knowledge of the high-end residential design and construction market. During this period, Claudia was awarded the Tony Torrice Professional Development Grant from International Furnishings and Design Association Educational Foundation. As she began to amass a growing, referral-based clientele, in 2011 Claudia launched her eponymous interior design firm, Claudia Giselle Design LLC.
